“BLOCKS AND HANDLING THE “IN-BETWEEN” STEPS”

Welcome to this exciting Masterclass with George Faller, LMFT, EFT Trainer. George is back for another workshop, helping us to go even deeper into those challenging spots and navigate the trickiest cases in our caseloads! Get ready as we embark on a dynamic journey of discussion around your specific cases – a highly coveted masterclass format. We hope you can go back to work and immediately apply what you learn with your couples.

George will unravel the art of using simple, concise, and focused language, to learn how to vividly describe the client cycle and discover the secrets to setting up highly effective enactments in both stage 1 and 2. George will also guide us on the do's and don'ts of enactments, giving you the keys to elevate your therapeutic game. 

Brace yourself for an insightful education on the most common barriers that both new and seasoned therapists often encounter in their EFT work. George will provide the tools to overcome these hurdles, ensuring you're equipped to tackle any challenge that comes your way.

Participants will:  

1.  Identify three key assumptions of attachment theory as it applies to adult relationships

2. Identify three common therapeutic impasses in couple treatment and how to address them.

3. Describe the functions of protective strategies that create negative cycles.

4. Conceptualize relational blocks as a factor in relational patterns of distress.  

5.  Identify strategies for working through relational blocks in session.  

6.  Explore the role of emotion regulation and emotional generation in confronting relational blocks in the EFT process. 

7.  Participants will apply EFT interventions to access and engage relational blocks in session.  

8.  Participants will integrate “micro-moves” into the EFT change process.

9.  Participants will explore the role of emotional resilience as a resource to therapist presence. 

10. Implement four interventions in clinical exercises and case examples.

11. Describe the functions of protective strategies that create negative cycles.

12. Define the clinical skills associated with catching clinical triggers/ entry points.

About George Faller, LMFT, EFT Trainer

George Faller is a retired Lieutenant of the NYC Fire Departement, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in New York and Connecticut and an approved supervisor for AAMFT. He is the founder and president of the New York Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy. As an EFT trainer, George teaches several classes at the Ackerman Institute for the Family and is the Director of Training at the Center for Hope and Renewal in Greenwich, CT. The experience George brings to the EFT community is vast as he works as a marriage consultant and conference leader to the US Military, FDNY, wall street executives and trains therapists across the US and abroad. Specializing in trauma, EFFT and self of the therapist issues, George is committed to bringing EFT to underprivileged populations and pushing the leading edge of EFT.

CE Information: 12 CEs will be available to those participants who can attend all 12 hours in real time for an additional cost. CEs are provided by National Marriage Seminars.

If you notify us less than 7 days before the event, we will provide a 50% refund. Registration refund amounts are based on fixed costs, contractual obligations, and administrative time. When you enroll, it is with the understanding that you will attend and that you agree to this cancellation policy. If WBCEFT cancels or postpones an event, we will apply your tuition to the make-up date. If we cannot secure a make up date, you will receive a full refund. If you cannot attend the make up date, we will provide a full refund.  If you qualify for the Diversity Fellowship, due to limited spots, please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend so that a spot can open up for someone else.
