General EFT Supervision Group

General EFT supervision groups combine therapists from varying levels of EFT learning. We have folks who have completed Externship learning alongside certified EFT’ers. This can create a rich learning environment for everyone! We find therapists really learn more from one another when we have a mix of experience.

Because of the unique combination of therapists in each group, every general supervision cohort will be a little different, but all things EFT are welcome! We regularly hear from therapists that sharing with the group about their EFT growth normalizes their own learning and leaves them feeling more connected. This sharing leads to learning more about the model and can also include some self-of-therapist work.

We offer this group in two different formats. We have a hybrid group that rotates each month between virtual and in-person meetings. We also offer this group in a virtual-only format. We have been blessed to have EFT’ers from across the country in our all-virtual group, and we look forward to continuing this!

Each group, regardless of format, meets for two hours once per month and is co-lead by Melissa Peters and Jill Soyka. Participants are required to do at least one case consult or tape review while they are in the group.

EFT with Individuals (EFIT)

If you have completed Externship and want to apply EFT to your work with individual clients, this group is for you. This group will combine didactic learning about the model, attachment theory, and emotion with experiential exercises, role- plays, and viewing of taped sessions. Section 1 of this group (first Friday of the month) is for clinicians who have already been using EFT with individuals, and are ready for more focused application to their own work. Section 1 participants are required to bring video/audio of a session OR present a case for consultation. Section 2 (3rd Friday of the month) is for clinicians who want to know more about how to apply EFT with individuals. Participants are encouraged to bring audio/video of a session to group, but this is not a requirement of membership. Case consultation is also an option.

Come learn how to work with the attachment system when only one client is in the room! Together we will create a safe and warm environment to explore this exciting addition to your EFT practice.

Jill Soyka leads all of the EFIT groups at The WBCEFT. All EFIT groups meet for two hours once per month at the center. We plan on having two different sections of this group in order to meet the demand for more EFIT supervision.

Certification or Bust (COB)

You want to get certified, and we want to help you get there. COB is a highly focused supervision group for clinicians who are going for it! Participants must have completed Externship and Core Skills, must be actively taping clients, and come ready to lean into their growing edge. There are learning humps that every EFT clinician goes through on the way to certification. We want to help you move up and over these humps in a safe and supportive group environment.

The group will include teaching and discussion, watching examples of EFT certification tapes, some experiential and content-focused learning exercises, and most importantly, members will bring their own work and learning process to share with the group.

This group, led by Melissa Peters, meets for two hours 2 times a month (once in-person at the center and once virtually). Members are expected to attend both meetings.  The virtual meeting will be recorded and available for review should you miss a meeting.
